வளம் கொழிக்கும் நைல் நதியின் கருப்பு நிற வண்டல் மண் போன்று, அனுபிஸ் கடவுளின் முகமும் கருப்பு நிற குள்ள நரியின் முகமும், மனித உடலுடன் ஓவியங்களில் தீட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் அனுபிஸ் கடவுள் ஒரு கையில் மேல் உலகத்தின் திறவு கோலான ஆங்கையும், ஒரு கையில் செங்கோலும் கையில் ஏந்தி இருக்கும். மம்மியின் வாய் திறப்புச் சடங்கின் போது இன்பு கடவுள் அருகில் இருப்பதாக எகிப்தியர்கள் நம்பினர். எகிப்தியர்கள் இக்கடவுளை அனுபிஸ் அல்லது இன்பு அல்லது அன்பு என அழைத்தனர். ஆனால் எகிப்தை ஆண்ட கிரேக்க தாலமி வம்ச மன்னர்கள் இக்கடவுளை அனுபிஸ் என அழைத்தனர். அனுபிஸ் கடவுள் வழிபாடு பழைய எகிப்திய இராச்சிய காலம் முதல் எகிப்தை ஆண்ட கிரேக்கத் தாலமி வம்சத்தினர் காலம் வரை நிலவியது.
