முங்கோசு (Mungos) என்பது 1795ஆம் ஆண்டில் எட்டியென் ஜியோப்ராய் புனித-கிலேர் மற்றும் ப்ரெடெரிக் குவியர் ஆகியோரால் முன்மொழியப்பட்ட ஒரு கீரி பேரினமாகும்.^[1]
