சாமுவேலின் புத்தகம் (Book of Samuel, Sefer Shmuel) என்பது எபிரேய வேதாகமத்தில் உள்ள ஒரு புத்தகம் ஆகும். இது பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் இரண்டு புத்தகங்களாக ( 1-2 சாமுவேல் ) காணப்படுகிறது. இசுரயேலர்களின் இறையியல் வரலாற்றை ( தோரா ) உருவாக்கி, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் வழிகாட்டுதலின் கீழ் இஸ்ரவேலுக்கான கடவுளின் சட்டத்தை விளக்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட புத்தகங்களின் தொடர் ( யோசுவா, நீதித் தலைவர்கள், சாமுவேல் மற்றும் அரசர்களின் புத்தகங்கள் ) உபாகம வரலாற்றின் ஒரு பகுதியாகும்.[1]
யூத பாரம்பரியத்தின்படி, இந்த புத்தகம் சாமுவேல் என்பவரால் எழுதப்பட்டது, காட் மற்றும் நாதன் இறைவாக்கினர்களாக சேர்த்தனர்.[2] இவர்கள் தாவீதின் ஆட்சியின் போது 1 நாளாகமத்திற்குள் தோன்றிய மூன்று இறைவாக்கினராவர்.[3][4] தற்கால அறிஞர்களின் கூற்றுப்படி, முழு உபாகம வரலாறும் சுமார் 630-540 கி.முவில் பல்வேறு காலத்திய பல சுயாதீன நூல்களை இணைத்து இயற்றப்பட்டது என்று அறிய வருகிறது.[5][6]
நூல் பெயரும் உள்ளடக்கமும்
[தொகு]"1 & 2 சாமுவேல்" என்னும் நூல்களில் இசுரயேல் அரசுரிமையின் தொடக்க வரலாறு காணப்படுகிறது. இவ்விரு நூல்களின் தொகுப்பு எபிரேய மூல மொழியில் "Sefer Sh'muel" (= சாமுவேலின் நூல்கள்) என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
நீதித் தலைவர்களின் காலம் அரசுரிமையின் காலமாக மாறியது குறித்த நிகழ்ச்சிகள் "1 சாமுவேல்" என்னும் நூலில் இடம் பெறுகின்றன. மேலும், நீதித் தலைவர்களின் வரிசையில் இறுதியாக வந்தவரான சாமுவேல், இசுரயேலின் முதல் அரசரான சவுல், சிறுபருவத்தே இறைவனால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு இசுரயேலின் பேரரசராக உயர்த்தப்பட்ட தாவீது ஆகிய மூவரை மையமாகக் கொண்டு ஏற்பட்ட சமுதாய மாற்றமும் இந்நூலில் இடம்பெறுகிறது.
கடவுளுக்கு உண்மை உள்ளவர்களாய் இருந்தபோது வெற்றியும், அவருக்கு உண்மையற்றவர்களாய் நடக்கும்போது அழிவும் ஏற்படும் என்னும் கருத்து இந்நூலில் தெளிவாக்கப்படுகிறது. ஆண்டவரே இசுரயேலின் உண்மையான அரசர் என்று கருதப்பட்டார். ஆனால், மக்களின் விருப்பத்திற்கு இணங்கி அவர் அவர்களுக்கு ஓர் அரசரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறார். ஆயினும் அரசரும் இசுரயேல் மக்களும் கடவுளின் ஆட்சிக்கு உட்பட்டவர்கள் என்பதும், செல்வர் வறியோர் ஆகிய எல்லா மக்களின் உரிமைகளும் கடவுளின் திருச்சட்டத்தின் கீழ் சமமாகக் காக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதும் இந்நூலில் வலியுறுத்தப்படுகின்றன.
